Mixed Media

Hi everyone!

After long hectic schedule we finally got the time for vacation. Last weekend we went to Goa. It was so much fun there.. We enjoyed food, beach and classic time together. So I decided to do one mixed media project to capture my sweet Goa memory on my wall.

I am new in mixed media world. So was very afraid of doing this. But my hubby told me to do so.
This is for first time I m trying hand on this. This will be challenge for me.

I have stared with one 12x12 thick craft sheet. I pasted one Papericious 12x12 paper from premium collection it's peach time for base of my project. Then I sprinkled some water with my Tim holtz mini mister on bottom part of my project, and I created some crease to look like wrinkled curtain. Then I used my stencils to make some designs here and there using home made textured paste. I mixed blue and pink color with textured paste to give colorful pattern. After that I created some outline on textured pattern using my black marker for little highlight.

Then I added gold net fabric on my project with mod podge. After that I added some water colors like purples, pinks, blues using wet brush, same time I sprinkled same colors.

Heart is hand cut. I pasted one of my Goa trip picture, this is sun set, so so lovely moment and may be the best situation of my trip. I added crochet lace around heart and on the bottom of creased curtain. and I also distressed the edge of heart using worn lipstick distress ink. Then I added some orange sequins on heart. I also attached two printed sentiments OUR STORIES and OUR MEMORIES, on which again I distressed edge. Then I added pearl chain with curtain.

I usually notice that Quilling is not so popular with mixed media. So I decided to use quilled flowers with my project. I created some pink and blue flowers with 3mm quilling strips and also some leaves with curly branches. At the end I added two cute punched butterflies.

Hope you all will like my first Mixed Media project. Thanks for stopping by. Please dont forget to comment.

Shubh Diwali

Hi all..

From the mind blowing Navratri utsav to coming festival of lights.. Every where only celebration fever.. Candles, Lamps, Diyas, Rangoli and lots of sweets..So I have decided to do something based on the occasion.

I made one diwali card. I started with red cardstock. I embossed some ethnic circular designs randomly on left side of card using my gold embossing powder. After that I took one piece of white card stock to cut tag. I distressed that tag with yellow and orange ink. Then I drew one diya with my marker and coloured this with my sketch pens. I also put some highlights on diya using my glitter pens.

After that I stamped one frame shape clear stamp and happy diwali sentiment on white cardstock. I did some color pencil shading using my orange and yellow pencil. I also stamped two corners with same procedure. I fussy cut corners and sentiment frame.

After arranging all layers I added some sequins for little bling. I added my card on white card base. Card side size is approx 15x15 c.m. Hope you all will like my work. Don't forget to comment. Thanks for stopping by.
