Seasons greetings

Hi friends..

Lamps, candles, wreath, tree, snowman, ornaments and what not.. Christmas fever is on peek..

Today my post is about Christmas greeting.. the best way to convey our thoughts to someone special is by making handmade card.

I have started with white cardstock. I created cercle shaped whole with my paper knife. Then I punch some glitter foam leaves and berries. I created wreath with those leaves and berries.. I attached bow using golden thread on top of wreath.

For side white and red striped pattern I have used fired brick distress ink. I created striped pattern using washi tape to leave white space between red. For sentiment I took red cardstock, golden glimmer sheet and white cardstock (on which I stamped design using spun sugar distress ink ). I stamped merry x'mas sentiment using itsy bitsy alphabet stamp set.

Then I created hand made Santa for my shaker part of card. I coloured Santa using sketch pens and coloured pencils. I attached window sheet on back side, added foam tape and filled some white glimmer powder for snowy effect and some white snowflakes. Then I attached white cardstock to sandwich everything from back.

Hope you all will like my little Santa card. Please comment. Thank you for stopping by.

Merry Christmas

Hi all..

Hope Xmas and new year plannings are going good. I have also started decorating my home..

Today I thought that why not create Wreath to decorate my door. And what will be best medium to create it, offcourse paper quilling..My all time favourite technique.

Although quilling is huge topic to discover. And there are many techniques which I usually like to use in my creations like comb quilling, malesian flower, beehive technique, 3d flowers, looping, husking etc.

It is very difficult to choose one favourite technique. So I decided to make my wreath using different techniques. Here is my creation..

I have started with sunflower using three shades of yellows and fringe flower in center. Here also I made some buds using 3d quilling technique. Then I shifted to orange flower using black and orange strips. Here I used copper glitter balls for center. After that I created blue malesian flower. I used blue pollens in center. Now pink flower is made using curved malesian flower in center offcourse with pink pollens. Then big flower is made using tiny leaf shape quills of pink, peach and white stripes. I joined all different quills to create petal shape. Here I used golden pollens.  Blue and white flowers made using comb quilling technique. I created seven blue quilled cones for center . Then red flower is made using three layers of different shades of reds with tear drop shape.. here I used white pearl pollens. Then last purple flower is with golden cone in center. I also made two cute butterflies. All leaves are made by different shapes and different shades of greens. All flowers and leaves I have created using 5mm stripes, only butterflies are made using 3mm strips.

And this is my finished project

Although I like all techniqus of quilling very much but I always love to make 3d flowers in my project.

Plants

Hi friends..

We all know that trees play an important role in our lives. They gives us lots of things which are uncountable. For making our environment free from all types of polution it's very very important to atleast plant once every year. I do every year on my birthday. It's very fortunate that IQCG gave me the opportunity to share my thoughts by making quilled plant. I am sharing my love for plant by making this project.

I started with making hand sketch on handmade sheet and then I started making beehives using brown quilling strip. Then I created green swirls and leaves to make little plant. I attached yellow ribbons on all four edges and pasted pink quilled heart with cute leaves. At the end I added four chipboard corners to give some ethnic look. This is my project. Hope you will get inspired with this to create some beautiful projects. Thanks for stopping by. Please comment.

Mixed Media

Hi everyone!

After long hectic schedule we finally got the time for vacation. Last weekend we went to Goa. It was so much fun there.. We enjoyed food, beach and classic time together. So I decided to do one mixed media project to capture my sweet Goa memory on my wall.

I am new in mixed media world. So was very afraid of doing this. But my hubby told me to do so.
This is for first time I m trying hand on this. This will be challenge for me.

I have stared with one 12x12 thick craft sheet. I pasted one Papericious 12x12 paper from premium collection it's peach time for base of my project. Then I sprinkled some water with my Tim holtz mini mister on bottom part of my project, and I created some crease to look like wrinkled curtain. Then I used my stencils to make some designs here and there using home made textured paste. I mixed blue and pink color with textured paste to give colorful pattern. After that I created some outline on textured pattern using my black marker for little highlight.

Then I added gold net fabric on my project with mod podge. After that I added some water colors like purples, pinks, blues using wet brush, same time I sprinkled same colors.

Heart is hand cut. I pasted one of my Goa trip picture, this is sun set, so so lovely moment and may be the best situation of my trip. I added crochet lace around heart and on the bottom of creased curtain. and I also distressed the edge of heart using worn lipstick distress ink. Then I added some orange sequins on heart. I also attached two printed sentiments OUR STORIES and OUR MEMORIES, on which again I distressed edge. Then I added pearl chain with curtain.

I usually notice that Quilling is not so popular with mixed media. So I decided to use quilled flowers with my project. I created some pink and blue flowers with 3mm quilling strips and also some leaves with curly branches. At the end I added two cute punched butterflies.

Hope you all will like my first Mixed Media project. Thanks for stopping by. Please dont forget to comment.

Shubh Diwali

Hi all..

From the mind blowing Navratri utsav to coming festival of lights.. Every where only celebration fever.. Candles, Lamps, Diyas, Rangoli and lots of sweets..So I have decided to do something based on the occasion.

I made one diwali card. I started with red cardstock. I embossed some ethnic circular designs randomly on left side of card using my gold embossing powder. After that I took one piece of white card stock to cut tag. I distressed that tag with yellow and orange ink. Then I drew one diya with my marker and coloured this with my sketch pens. I also put some highlights on diya using my glitter pens.

After that I stamped one frame shape clear stamp and happy diwali sentiment on white cardstock. I did some color pencil shading using my orange and yellow pencil. I also stamped two corners with same procedure. I fussy cut corners and sentiment frame.

After arranging all layers I added some sequins for little bling. I added my card on white card base. Card side size is approx 15x15 c.m. Hope you all will like my work. Don't forget to comment. Thanks for stopping by.

Fairy Happy

Hi friends!! Today I am posting a card with loads of techniques. After fantastic Ganpati celebration in Pune now I am back in world of blogging!

This is the card in which I created background using honeycomb stencil with light pink color ink. I distressed edges with my scissors.

Then for side strip I created stripe pattern using masking tape and orange ink. After that I created circle shape on which I stamped fairy. Circle is created using peek-a-boo designs scallop circle die and as I didn't want scallop edge I trimmed it off by scissors. For the fairy I used Itsy Bitsy Fairy stamp set with black ink.

Before pasting circle on card I used leaf punch for pink leaves. For sentiments I used Itsy Bitsy alphabet stamp set. I also attached orange- white bakers twine on the bottom of card. Then at the end I glued little orange and peach sequins. For the base of card I took Orange card stock.

Hope all of you will like my effort. Please comment.
