Quilled Indian Musical Instruments

Hi Bloggers! I am very much excited to post my new collection of Musical instruments. I created some miniatures of Indian Musical Instruments using 5mm quilling strips.. It was very big project for me.. as it took around 7 days to make all instuments.. For whole project I used approx 500 quilling strips.

I started with Harmonium. First I created one box for base. Then I made back side accordion and front black and white keys.  Then I painted harmonium with brown color and orange color on base.. for front stops i used quilling strip. Harmonium measures 4'' x 3''.

This is Sitar.. I created lots of quilled circles of different sizes for front and back portions.. Some of them are 3d in shape and some circles are flat. For string area i used card board strips. and strings are made with silver thread. Sitar Size is approx 7'' x 2''.

Then I created Iktara , Been and shehenai.

Now turn of Indian Drums.. First one is Nagada, then Dholak, Tabla, Damroo, and Little Manjira. For sticks of Nagada I used toothpick wrapped with brown paper and little tight coil in orange for top of stick. Also i created cushions for Tabla and Nagada with orange silk thread for base support. Hight is approx 2 1/2'' x 2''.

Finally all the instruments are together..

Hope all of you will like my effort. Please comment. Thanks for stopping by.
